If anyone has ever read or seen the movie, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, you might remember Willy Wonka showcasing a Three-Course Dinner Chewing Gum that was able to mimic the flavours of every single course of a full meal. Even though Violet Beauregarde turned into a blueberry when she ate it, that’s not to say that it won’t work out for you!
Researchers now say that they might have found the perfect ingredients to imitate these three meals- all in a stick of gum! Food scientist, Dave Hart thinks that a recent advance in nanotechnology could secure and let go gum flavours in a controlled way!
It could take a while before you see this on gum on shelves though! Even though scientists have the tools that they need, it still may take some time before the flavour transition is flawless!!
I think that this is pretty sweet, but I’m kind of unsure whether I’d actually like it or not! I mean, imagine chewing a piece a piece of gum that tastes like tomato soup and then BAM! It tastes like chicken. Talk about a shock to your taste buds!
So, who all is buying? If so, what is your ideal three-course meal?

Sticky Situations are now Solved!
Apparently the days of using peanut butter to get gum out of your hair are over! On October 4, a “revolutionary” non-stick chewing gum was added to the market called “Rev7." The new chewing gum is created by manufacturer Revolymer and offers "an excellent taste and long lasting flavour."
According to reports, the gum can be removed from clothing, the ground and carpet without any problems or permanent sticky situations! You can remove it using a little bit of water and the gum can biodegrade on its own into a powder within six months!
With this kind of sticky situation solution, I wonder if they’ll make gum legal in Singapore again?!?! Gum was made illegal in Singapore in 1992 because it was costing the city a lot of money to remove it from buildings.
Otherwise, I think that this non-stick gum is a great idea, but I wonder what it tastes like? Do you guys think that it’s tastier than normal gum?

Bubblegum Showdown at the Eaton’s Centre in Toronto
On October 9, hundreds of people went to the Bazooka Joe Bubble Gum Blow-Off at the Eaton’s Centre and attempted to blow the biggest gum bubble of the day!
The bubble trouble began at 1 p.m. where bubble blowers were split into three age categories and competed for an iPod Nano and a trophy. The three categories included: five to 10 year olds, 11 to 15 years old, and 16 and up.
At the end of the day, the three finalists all competed with one another to try and blow the biggest bubble. The winner not only got a large supply of gum, but also becomes the first person to become a character in a Bazooka Joe comic!!
Salma Arbach, 29, blew a bubble that measured just over 19 cm wide and was the first person to win these bragging rights!!!
Do you think that you could top that? I think I could definitely beat her, I mean they didn't call me "bubblegum princess" in middle school for no reason.
Unfortunately, I didn’t hear about this competition until after the fact! Hopefully I get the memo next year cause I want to do this soooo badly! It looks like a blast!
So, who all is coming to the bubblegum showdown in 2011? If you’re coming, how many hours are you going to train for?
I'm training with the best bubble gum around!
